Developing a methodology for projecting labour market needs of small and medium-sized enterprises in the crafts and entrepreneurship sector and an example of a needs projection model for the case of a car repairer
The task was carried out in the framework of the DialogeS project ‘ZDOPS and SOPS together in social dialogue towards proposals for implementing solutions on working conditions and employment in the craft and business sectors’.
In the framework of the methodology for projecting labour market needs of SMEs in the craft and entrepreneurship sector and the example of the needs projection model for the case of a car repairer, we:
- Identify the state of play in the crafts and entrepreneurship sector (as of 2013) and the current competences of the institutions;
- identify the problems that hinder the implementation of effective coordination and forecasting in the labour market and suggest possible solutions;
- Identify proposals for more effective monitoring of labour market needs, for better matching of labour market supply and demand, and for the integration of IMSP workers in relevant education and training;
- develop a labour market needs projection methodology tailored to small and medium-sized employers;
- prepare an example of a needs projection using the example of car repairer profiles.
A short explanation of specific terms in the field of vocational and professional education and training.
The DialogeS project aims at practical solutions that, on the basis of the proposals, will enable policy makers and the PES to better monitor the needs of the labour market in crafts and entrepreneurship and to open a debate on better forecasting of the educational process to provide the skills needed for crafts and entrepreneurship and, through this, reduced unemployment.
The strategic objective of the project is to prepare a basis for stimulating the development of proposals for solutions to improve working conditions, employment, ALMPs and lifelong learning, with a particular focus on crafts and entrepreneurship. More about the DialogeS project
